Bold midi skirts are a new way to wear brights this summer. Blue is one of my favorite colors, and so I naturally gravitated toward this sky blue number. Pairing a striped top in a slightly different blue hue worked surprisingly well with this blue midi skirt, looking quirky yet put together. I decided that the best way to add some dimension and color to this ensemble was to pair it with a bohemian wooden and red necklace. The skirt was a little long when I bought it so I have to roll it up a few times to make it work. Because of this, a waist belt is the perfect solution to hide the fabric bunching and tie the top and skirt together. This look would work well with any color midi skirt, as long as the color family is kept consistent. Happy Friday everyone!

Pop of health/fitness: Go for the blue plate! Studies show that we eat less when we use blue dishes since this color stimulates the brain's appetite control center. Other research suggests that downsizing to blue salad plates could cut calorie intake by 33% because it allows you to clean your plate without accidentally overeating.
