- American Eagle shorts
- Wedge sandals from a name brand discount warehouse
- Vintage thrifted red tank and crochet poncho*Pop of value!
- Necklace from a consignment boutique
Mint green and crimson is a bright and unexpected summer color combo. I decided to dress up the colors with a crochet poncho I found while thrifting a few weeks ago. Layering is made easy in the summer when you use crochet pieces. This poncho is an extremely versatile layering piece, and in a color like black it goes with virtually anything! An interesting way to create personal flair would be to create a slouchy look by belting the bottom of the poncho with a brightly colored belt. This creates a nice contrast by pulling a pop of color from the tank and necklace such as in the look shown above. Neutral colored ponchos also stand out nicely against a pair of summer's popular bright shorts. This look is night ready when you add some ultra high strappy wedges!

Pop of health/fitness: Take a deep breath! People who spend five minutes an hour practicing slow, deep, relaxed abdominal breathing burn up to 27% more fat than those who always breathe shallowly. The reason: Deep breathing signals cellular mitochondria to amp up calorie burning in as little as 3 minutes.
