My mom and my Aunt Patty on the track
Myself, brother Rick and his girlfriend Molly right after we walked the track
- Shirt (made by our Relay for Life team)
- Shorts from American Eagle
- Pearl necklace from Charlotte Russe
- Nike Shox sneakers
- Cardigan from Express
So today we all got together to walk for Relay for Life at McDowell High School. Every year my mom and my aunt get really involved in helping out the committe for this wonderful cause, and today proved to be a perfect day to get outside and walk for the cure! As pictured above, my aunt (dark hair on the right) is a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed just last year. We were all very proud to walk for her this year. For those of you who are not familiar, The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an annual event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.
