Keeping It Casual With a Basic Dress

This is an example of how easy it is to throw on a basic dress and add on accessories to personalize it. I bought this dress from Moda International a few months ago, and I really am seeing how nice of a layering piece it is. With its basic brown hue and detail straps in the back (I apologize for not taking a photo!) this dress can take you from summer to fall in a heartbeat. One of my favorite add-ons with any basic is a belt. This one I chose is stretchy, so it can sit lower on the hips or on the waist. Because I chose to go casual, I didn't want a lot of jewelry- just a crochet vest and neutral wedges.

Pop of health/fitness: So today we evaluated our daily activity. We found that we mostly do things around the house and occasionally take the dogs for a walk. At times, I workout very hard for about a week, then take a week or two off. We found that we need to be a bit more consistently active in order to achieve our weight loss goals. We decided that we are going to wake up earlier than usually and take an hour long walk as well as add about 20 minutes of the elliptical per day.
