Vince Camuto necklace, heels from Journeys, Dress c/o Marshalls, RayBan sunnies, Thrifted bag
With St. Patty's Day fast approaching, I thought it appropriate to don some green! Green is one of those colors that I don't normally keep in normal rotation in my wardrobe. I don't know why- I guess I have trouble finding green pieces that I like. Either way, add it to the mental checklist!
I'm loving this style of dress for spring; I'm finding so many ways to wear it. Originally I had worn it as a boat neck, but I thought it looked a little more edgy off the shoulder. The cut is flattering for apple or pear shapes, as long as the hemline is kept to the most narrow part of your leg. Did I mention how comfortable the fabric is? Definitely thicker than it looks.
I dug these python heels out of the back of my closet while cleaning the other day and I was pleasantly surprised! Have you ever found a piece that had been hiding and when you found it you couldn't wait to bring it back to life? This is that piece for me! I call these my "Carrie Bradshaw" heels! Remember in the first S&TC movie when she wore these in the opening scene? Ever since I laid eyes on them I fell in love! The original version is solid leather without a print from Dior, but I loved the affordable version I found at Journeys in 2009 (I paid a lot less too!)
Are you a big fan of green in your wardrobe? If so, what is your favorite green piece and how do you wear it?
I do love green even though I don't have a lick of Irish in me. My mint KG Kurt Geigers heels are my new favorite green things!
ReplyDeleteYou wear that dress well and those shoes are to die for!
I love how you put it together! Glad I found your blog. Work!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, this is the greatest take on spring green! I love the ethnic vibe and kinda tough girl look it's got. Really delightful post.
