Pink and red is one of the season's most unexpected color combinations. This bright color combo looks casual dressed down here with navy and nude, however it can easily be dressed up as well. Color blocking these two hues is popular among celebs such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Eva Longoria, who opt to keep the lighter color on the top while the red resides in the skirt or pant. The pink and red pairing first emerged on the modern fashion scene during the Fashion Week of Spring 2009. Designers like Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta donned the trend featuring silver, black, gold, and white accents. This year, the trend was spotted on red carpet regulars Natalie Portman who wore Victor and Rolf to the Golden Globe Awards and Zoe Saldana in Prabal during the Oscars. A wearable version of the trend is to simply layer a red and pink print over a solid piece in either color or dare to sport the color blocking trend in a simple distressed tee in one of the hues with jeans in the opposite. Many summer dresses are also featuring red and pink color blocked in light satin and silk fabrics.

Pop of health/fitness: Supplement your diet with B vitamins. Women who take a daily B-complex vitamin have fewer cravings, burn 4% more calories and weigh up to 15 pounds less than women who skip this supplement. B vitamins are lipotropics, which means they convert fat into fuel. (They're also rumored to help with hangovers! Shhhhh!)
