Since Givenchy's spring collection hit the runway in 2010, the dark and white striped blazer has been everywhere. I absolutely love that you can pair this piece with virtually anything and add instant chicness to your look. There are so many ways to wear the striped blazer, I had to share my favorite ways with you all. Above, I've put together my top 8 favorite versions of the striped blazer- each with completely different twists on how to wear it. Some of the more popular ways that celebrities such as Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port wear theirs is with leather shorts and leggings. This look is an edgy twist on the traditionally nautical vibe of the striped blazer. Other popular ways of styling the blazer include wearing a bright top underneath in colors like green or yellow, and donning the staple with statement necklaces and traditional black. Girly details such as the ruffles in Olivia Palermo's blouse soften the definitive lines of the print. Strong shoulder designs were popular on blazers in 2009 and 2010, but this year it seems that cropped and double breasted versions are now taking the scene. No matter vertical or horizontal stripes, cropped or long, double or single breasted- the striped blazer is a chic way to make a statement. And you don't have to pay a fortune either! I scored mine for $7! I decided to go the nautical route by sporting mine with this season's popular red denim pants. The rope and shell details of the necklace I wore played off the sailor vibe perfectly, while pulling the red from the pants.

Pop of health/fitness: Mix up a batch of LOC water for a delicious, refreshing, calorie free drink that is rich in vitamin C and contains natural diuretic properties. To make LOC water, thinly slice one lemon, one orange, and one small cucumber. (be sure to wash the produce well.) Place sliced items in 1/2 gallon pitcher filled with cold water. Refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes to blend flavors. Strain out slices and drink the LOC water. You can snack on the orange and cucumber slices.
