How To Transition a Summer Dress to Fall

I don't know about you guys, but a breezy summer dress is one of my staples in hot weather. It's always depressing when that certain day hits and you finally have to cuddle under your covers at night because that slight chill is back in the air. It's just about time for fall and you know what that means- fashion week, back to school, and most of all- fun new fall clothing!

In an effort to extend the life of a summer dress, I've been looking for ways to pair them with other pieces to transition them to the autumn weather. Enter the classic button down shirt! Always a classic, the pale blue oxford will never go out of style and goes with everything. Add instant polish to a boho piece with this preppy topper and you've got classic style that will bring you into the new season!

On a different note- today was my first day of student teaching and I had an absolute blast! The kids' first day isn't until Thursday, so we've been planning and meeting with other teachers mostly. My cooperating teacher is amazing; so incredibly helpful and supportive it's awesome! Hope everyone else's day went just as well :) What did you all do today?

  3. The swingy shape of that dress is so fun! And I love the festive pattern...way to keep wearing it across seasons.
