Red Blazer & Navy Gingham

Madewell heels, Nine West jeans, Fossil handbag, Gingham shirt c/o Marshalls, Blazer c/o Bogatte, Michael Kors watch, Sunnies c/o Guess

Everyone, bun- bun, this is everyone. I figured I should introduce you two because it has apparently taken up a permanent residence on my head lately! I don't know what it is but for some reason I'm donning the bun everyday.

Today was my first unofficial day inside the 7th & 8th grade language arts room I will be student teaching in this semester. My cooperating teacher couldn't have been sweeter and more knowledgeable! We went over the curriculum, lesson planned, and she introduced me to all of the faculty members. We had a blast and I know I'm going to learn a lot from her this semester. I can't wait to start teaching!

Lately, I've been into the preppy look- can't seem to get enough of gingham and blazers. These shoes are one of my favorite recent finds (even though I usually despise kitten heels). The red is perfect for popping color and keeping things interesting, while the heels gives just enough lift with hurting my feet as I'll be standing all day.

Here's to a great last week of summer everybody!

  1. Good luck with your work in the classroom! I did something that sounds quite similar in a 5th grade classroom last year; I learned so much from my partner teacher and wouldn't change it for the world. I hope you have fun!

  8. I must say that you have such a fresh and timeless style; you are truly a print-mixing queen. The way you dress is versatile for any age-group. I love the way you are not trying to be trendy. Your style is original and consistent, and to me, that is the mark of a true fashionista. You're my inspiration.
