On nicer days like today, I wanted to see if I could get away with leggings instead of thicker pants! Jokes on me, I went outside and I was dying of heat! I'm definitely not complaining- this weekend is supposed to get up to 80! You know what that means- bust out the shorts and skirts for a couple days!
I got this color scheme idea and the mixed prints from former head of women's design at J Crew- Marissa Webb. It's a shame that she stepped down from this position last month- it really is a loss for the brand in my opinion.
She is a master print-mixer and her layering of stripes look (below) was ingenious! I wanted to switch my look up a bit by layering stripes over gingham. What do you guys think?
