Cute Hairstyle Ideas for the Holidays (And how to get them!)

This is a simple take on the classic french braid. I love the way it secures your hair and isn't fussy.
  • Start by rubbing a light texturizer (or with hair that hasn't been washed for one day) throughout your hair to keep it from slipping.
  • After this, begin by parting your hair to the side.
  • Then, section off a large portion of your hair (3 1/2 to 4" wide) and begin french braiding along your hairline. Be sure to keep from pulling the braid too tight, as you'll lose the messy volume look.
  • Braid until the braid reaches just past your ear and secure with a small clear rubberband (I find them in packages of 100 at Walmart for cheap).
  • Once secure, wrap the remaining hair into a messy bun, wrapping a piece around your hairband to conceal it.

This is a fresh twist on the fishtail braid. (For those of you who do not know how to do so, I will be doing a 'how to' video here shortly) This hairstyle can be done with freshly washed hair, however if you have layers, you may want to use a texturizing product.
  • Begin by parting your hair in the center.
  • Then, take a section spanning from your part to your ear and begin a loose fishtail braid.
  • Once braided until an inch or two from the ends, fasten with a clear elastic band.
  • Repeat on the other side, but when finished with the second braid, wrap it into the first clear elastic band.
  • Continue either straightening or loose curling the rest of your hair as usual.

Add something glitzy to your regular 'do!
  • Place a sparkly headband (or two) an inch or two above your ears (and right above your hairline)
  •  Pull the hair underneath away from your scalp with the end of a teasing comb.
  • Create loose waves with a 2'' curling iron and finish with lighthold hairspray.

This is another way to add some 'glitz' to your regular hairstyle!

  • Part 1 day unwashed hair to the side and loosely tie into a messy bun just below your ear.
  • Add a sparkly ribbon (maybe leftover from gifts!) or headband just above your bun and over your hairline.

This is a simplified milkmaid braid. Quick and easy to do! (Works best on long hair)
  • Tease around the crown area of your head with a teasing comb to hide your part.
  • Gather your hair in a low ponytail on one side of your head, by the nape of your neck.
  • Begin braiding a tight braid all the way to the end then fasten with a small clear hairband.
  • Once finished, wrap the braid around the front of your head (your hairline), or if you have bangs; right where the bangs begin.
  • Tuck end of the braid behind your ear and secure with at least two bobby pins.
  • This also works if you do two braids on either side of your head and wrap both over your hairline, securing both ends around the backs of the opposite ears and fastening with bobby pins.
  • Finish with light hold hairspray.

This is a simple twist that works when going from the office to a holiday party. (Also does wonders to hide grown out bangs!)
  • Part your hair on the side.
  • Gather a small section of hair right above the ear and begin twisting (working toward the nape of your neck), making sure to add more hair the further you continue around your head.
  • Repeat on the other side.
  • Secure with a hairband.
  • Wrap a small section of hair around the hairband and pin underneath with bobby pins.
  • Add light waves by dividing hair in ponytail into two sections and curling each with a 2'' curling iron.
  • Spray with a lighthold hairspray, and scrunch ponytail to give it a messy look. (it will fall shortly into loose waves)

A parallel hairstyles approach is still followed for girls and women in modern hairstyles amazing hairstyle long hair styles with a little untidy that confers a rock & roll look to your hair. This curly hairstyles. style has gone through slight changes over the time. Unlikely to older styles.
