Snow Jungle

Adding color is one of the most fun things you can do with any outfit! I love me some brights (obviously) and this outfit had a bit of a "woodsman" feel. I basically skied on these boots on our way down the hill to shoot this outfit. I grabbed onto Rob and literally skied down the entire hill via these flat boots. Surprised I didn't topple over and bring him down with me!

You should've seen how funny some photos were in this tall grass (or is it straw?) I felt like I was in a cheesy romance movie running through the grass while getting it stuck between my legs and in my mouth. I am definitely not the most graceful person to walk the planet.

Anyway, red and pink are one of my favorite color combos this season. Valentine's Day is coming up and I'm not usually in places that allow me to wear skirts/dresses/high heels (see: chasing children around at work, and hiking to class in the winter tundra) so flat riding boots, jeans, and a flannel is just the ticket for pops of color that also prove to be functional.

In order to layer this look, I added a military vest- it also breaks up the color a bit. This is one of my favorite pieces to layer with and it bridges all seasons. Definitely would recommend!
