Styling Ankle Cowboy Boots With Mustard & Leopard

Cardigan from Express, Mustard tights from JC Penney ($6 right now!), Dress from Gap, Boots c/o Corso Como, Necklace c/o Saint Eve Jewelry

Fall is here and this week has been absolutely picturesque! Today in particular has been warm and so enjoyable to be outside! A huge happy birthday goes out to the best mom out there!

It's my mom's birthday and we just finished eating ice cream cake, spending time together, and opening gifts. For those of you who don't know- my mom is the genius behind the camera. When I purchased this baby, she took professional classes to learn how to capture the perfect shot- and boy have those classes paid off! Everyday we learn something new and I am so proud to call her my mom. I couldn't do this site without her!

Tomorrow, we're going to our favorite steakhouse for the best filet mignon in Erie. Seriously, they never screw this steak up, it's perfectly predictable and melt-in-your-mouth every. single. time. I can't believe it's almost Thursday, this week has been flying by with practicum and the start of the second term of my student teaching! I'm so lucky to have the best placement in the world- my cooperating is so helpful, encouraging, and motivational- I must have hit the lottery! Needless to say with all this craziness, I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend in with Nate. Maybe I'm weird, or just old, but honestly my idea of the perfect weekend includes lying in bed reading/watching tv/catching up on magazines and eating delicious meals.

This was what I wore to teach today. This dress from Gap is incredibly comfortable and went perfectly with my new mustard tights (that I finally found after a year of searching!). It wouldn't be me if I didn't pair it with some form of leopard so obviously I had to work that in there too!

I've also been wearing my new Corso Como Adona Boots everywhere I go lately! The lining inside is perfect for my high arch and the minor embellishments are enough to stand out and give them a little personality while remaining modest enough to go with everything. The worn in leather takes it from casual to dressy depending on what I wear. The cowboy style isn't so Western that they don't appeal to any outfit and I love that about them! Lately, I've been wearing them with rolled up cigarette pants, dresses, and colored jeans. The laid-back boho feel of them is so me- I just can't get enough!

  1. Love how all the different elements worked perfectly together! Leopard and yellow are two of my favorite things to wear...so combined, you could only imagine how I'm loving this! I have two boxers-they're the sweetest.
