Mint & Gingham Texture

Nine West jeans| Adona boot c/o Corso Como| American Eagle sweater| Mint gingham shirt from Old Navy|

One of the greatest comforts in the world when it gets to be wintertime is a big chunky cardigan! This one looked great to me when I picked it up because of the color blend and thick texture. It picked up the color in this mint gingham perfectly- I often have a hard time finding pieces that match this hue.

I keep on wearing these fantastic ankle boots from Corso Como with cuffed pants because I just love the details and edgy feel. They're a nice break from my usual riding boot obsession during the cold weather months. I find myself pairing them with colored jeans and cuffed skinnies as I add a loose tee and long cardi on the weekends to lounge and do some errands. These add the perfect 'hipster' feel to a preppy look!

Are you guys diggin' ankle boots? What do you wear them with?

My last "official" day of student teaching was today (last day with the kids yesterday) and it was bittersweet. Luckily, I'll be returning to be a sub in the district so I'm excited to see them all again! It has been an amazing and extremely rewarding stint, and I'll never forget it. I'm blessed to have been working with one of the most brilliant and kind teachers on the planet. As I leave this juncture in my life, I feel happy and excited to take on the next challenge that lies ahead of me!

Well, I'm happy to report that I'm on the back 9 of the academia track for the semester. I just have one more thing to do before I'm on a six week break! It feels so good. Congrats to all of you who have just graduated and or are finished with this semester! Your hard work is going to pay off :)
